Hi, I’m Jaynie
I’m a communications executive who builds and leads communications functions for mission-driven organizations.
I advise executives, set brand and audience strategy, and lead teams and partners. I also write, design, and build, from organizational narratives and campaigns to the systems that help teams communicate consistently.
A brand is an experience. I help organizations create experiences that people deeply connect with.
What I do
I lead communications at Empower Schools, where I built the enterprise communications function from the ground up. In a federated national organization, I own brand and positioning, executive communications, thought leadership, and the systems and standards that connect national and local work.
I also serve as Fractional Chief Communications Officer for Ajoke Nursing Concierge, advising the founder and leading brand, audience strategy, and integrated communications.
Where I’ve Been
I bring 15+ years of experience in communications, design, and strategy across education, technology, philanthropy, and social impact. At Outschool, I served as VP of Communications, Engagement and PR, leading communications and engagement for a global education marketplace. My earlier work at Teach For America and National Geographic connected communications with community engagement and branded experiences.
I hold an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, a master’s degree in bilingual education from Southern Methodist University, a master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of North Texas, and a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Central Florida.
True Blue
I launched The Everblue Group in 2019 to help leaders find their voice and build communications systems that support their goals.
Beyond Work
I’m a mommy, and I’m raising Theo with my husband, Keischel. I’m a novice gardener, an intermediate home cook, and an expert hype woman.
